Seeing Double Lyrics
do you see the water that's dripping
from the kitchen down to the basement
will you tell your sister that lives there
or are you not that in love with her
the water will rise but she can't scream
you've got her tied up just like me
the electric shock from the tv on
playing re-runs all night long
your dad smells like my boyfriend
oh no i'm seeing double again
your garden looks like my home
which is funny because you don't know where i'm from
you've got something in your mouth
wish that you would take it out
roses can prick your lips, my friend
i'll sit back down so i cant stand again
if my mom calls, i'm not here
her reaction would prove all that i fear
happens behind locked door
you look so pretty, can i look some more
oh my god i'm drowning
from the silent dripping everything
in your pocket there's a key
next to a dollar bill and me
and me (x6)
from the kitchen down to the basement
will you tell your sister that lives there
or are you not that in love with her
you've got her tied up just like me
the electric shock from the tv on
playing re-runs all night long
oh no i'm seeing double again
your garden looks like my home
which is funny because you don't know where i'm from
wish that you would take it out
roses can prick your lips, my friend
i'll sit back down so i cant stand again
her reaction would prove all that i fear
happens behind locked door
you look so pretty, can i look some more
from the silent dripping everything
in your pocket there's a key
next to a dollar bill and me

beautiful.
one of my favorite madeline songs. . .I think it's about a somewhat naive girl who's in love with someone she doesn't want to be. He has her "tied up" and she starts to see things that aren't there, hence "seeing double." She's at his house but she's not sure what will happen next ("her reaction would prove all that I fear happens behind locked doors").
also, I think the last line is "next to a dollar bill and me" as in, she's so smitten, she's in his pocket.
