Mind Machine

I don't think it's about cyborgs and literal bio-machinery. It's about the massive amount of media saturation present today, how television, biased news, the internet, even music affects every person, injecting a new philosophy or false reality into them every time they turn on the tv or click a mouse. A sort of mass hypnosis that we can see happening today. We (a lot of us) don't form our own ideas anymore; just get all our thoughts from technological broadcasting...Mind and machinery...

Those are just my thoughts. It's a good message, really. And the song is great. Not your typical death metal song nowadays...

ok, basically mind machine is literally about the future, similar to theories that tv shows have like ghost in the shell. People have become "mind and machinery," cyborgs, and there is a higher power controlling them( this is where the ghost in the shell part ends).

Many of the songs on this album seem to have this theme to them. bear in mind however, that it may not be all literal and could be metaphor for people losing control of their lives to a higher power in todays society.

Much of this album seems to be about control, manipulation, and perceptions of reality

This song seems to be about how much people are manipulated through the media. I don't agree, however, with "fear now fuels the system" because it has fueled it ever since tribes have become a thing. It has only changed its shape. Before it was our blind belief in religion and its rules, now it's our blind belief in the media and its effect on our subconscious.
