Accordingly Lyrics
Businessmen like babes lay sleeping on the lawn
Cops are standing naked breaking into song
If I took her now as the one for me
Could effect a change accordingly
Statesmen and salesmen bend to kiss the ground
Lawyers and losers hold hands and hang around
If I took her now as the one for me
I could effect a change accordingly
What if I would place my trust in you
What if I had no doubt the way I do
I could take you now as the one for me
Could effect a change accordingly
Could effect a change accordingly
Cops are standing naked breaking into song
If I took her now as the one for me
Could effect a change accordingly
Lawyers and losers hold hands and hang around
If I took her now as the one for me
I could effect a change accordingly
What if I had no doubt the way I do
I could take you now as the one for me
Could effect a change accordingly
Could effect a change accordingly

reminds me of dylan for some reason. the anticipation of a possible love.
It sounds like someone feels all romantical about someone, but they feel too frightened to do anything about it. They feel that if they could overcome their fear then the other person would be theirs and the world would be turned upside down.
When he says "accordingly" he's making a comparison between the daunting task of getting over his fear ("what if I would trust/had no doubt" and "if I took her now") and the reward ("i could take you now", here businessmen/cops/statesmen/lawyers in perhaps dry roles start doing beautiful things, the world is turned on it's head and becomes more beautiful).
