Great great song.

About an old man losing faith in god, growing cynical about the world around him.

I like the comment repeatedly made that this is the song Morrissey wishes he could have written, because it would have made a perfect Smiths song.

Or perhaps a young man who is very old inside. There is no comparison between Morrissey and Lawrence. Morrissey is talented. Lawrence is genius.
