One of the best songs ever written, in my opinion. The piano trickling at the beginning followed by Hathaway's incredible voice. And then the lyrics... they come across as really personal, intimate and sincere. May favourite lines: "And when my life is over Remember when we were together We we're alone and I was singing this song to you" This is perfect as a wedding song.

Donny didn't write the song...Leon Russel did. For me, that makes the performance even more amazing. He has a connection with this song that seems so strong, yet he didn't actually write the song...the mark of a great performer.
One of the few things I'm thankful towards American Idol is the resurgence of this song- quite a few contestants have performed it.
I chose to play this song when my dog was laid to rest peacefully in front of my garden. I held his paw while it played in the background. Our love was unconditional.
