A very lonely song: "I'm all alone" and "I just knew I was alone". But if you say "I'll be the one who stands here longer than the rest" I guess you'll be lonely indeed; proud to be standing perhaps but lonely. "Almost powerful" and wanting to be "a new me". It's confusing I guess; strong and lonely.
I actually think it is about surviving in life. Even what life does throw at you, you will triumph. Even if you want to break down you keep going.
