Everyone Looks So Good From Here Lyrics

In a deep breath it all starts to change.
Flip my world inside out, honestly I like it better this way
When I mesh the night through the back of my eyes

I have put myself here
I'm the culprit
I am the culprit

I've been swallowed up alive
Shut down
Building from the inside out
I can finally walk through the walls

I swear I've slipped right through the cracks in the floor
It's so easy when it's pulling me under

Now I can see things from the outside,
And I will sit here with no place in mind

I can't escape from this place, this is so unfamiliar to me

I can hear the unsatisfying silence
My mouth is open but none of you can hear me

it sounds as if it is a story of someone who has died and finds he is surrounded by something that did not meet his expectations of afterlife and feels cheated for all the devotion he has shown to god for nothing. 'is this the end?' amazing

I think it's someone who awakes to find themselves in hell and they can't believe it because they thought they lived a good life, but they didn't give up their lives.

It's so funny how we see things so clear when we have no time left to live.

Just bought the Cd at midnight here are the real lyrics:

In a deep breath it all starts to change. Flip my world inside out, honestly I like it better this way. When I mesh the night through the back of my eyes.

I have put myself here I'm the culprit, I am the culprit.

I've been swalloed up alive Shut down Building from the inside out. I can finally walk through the walls.

I swear I've slipped right through the cracks on the floor It's so easy when it's pulling me under.

Now I can see things form the outside and I will sit here with no place in mind.

I can't escape from this place, this is so unfamiliar to me.

I can hear the unsatisfying silence My mouth is open but none of you can hear me.

Ok, im surprised i havent read this yet but im sure its on this site somewhere this cd is about spencer wanting to or trying to commit suicide (read the track names and lyrics) in particular drowning himself. If you read the thank you's and the end of the lyric booklet it says " i want to thank jesus christ for pulling me out by the collar and saving my life" so basically im a genius. : )

This is a powerful song. In my opinion, Johnny's right - this song is about a person who ends up finding himself in hell.

"I have put myself here I am the culprit"

Really says a lot about the hopelessness of the situation. (s)he understands he put himself there and now he's certain he won't escape.

When he says the line, "Now I see things from the outside," I think he's trying to say that he recognizes all of the things he's done more clearly because he's gained a different perspective.

And since "home" is a theme throughout the CD, I believe the line, "And I will sit here with no place in mind," conveys that he's lost his home and has no where left to go, which is why he can't escape.

"This is so unfamiliar to me" gives me chills. In church, they said that when we see Jesus we'll recognize his face and he will be familiar to us. I believe that he's disappointed because he doesn't see any of what he had expected to gain.

"It's so easy when it's pulling me under," in some ways, we're all being pulled towards hell. And without his feet on the floor, he's lost the path he meant to follow.

Amazing song.
