Timmy Lyrics
Oh my god there's his eyes again
Turn around and fake indifference
Then I'll watch his smooth black silhouette disappear
Too many bodies fill the club
Too many faces over done
Why am I here?
Why am I here?
Why am I here?
Why am I here?
Watch him leave the floor
My body's edging towards the door
I return instead
I'm not done pretending yet
Never done pretending yet
I'm indifferent.
Let me go
Gonna dance and think of him no more
Never, never understand the words I wrote
Never mind aheart thats broken right
He could never be mine
Something that I do is fight, fight it
I'm indifferent to you
I've got nothing for you
He stares at her across the floor
My undressed heart now an open door
He order drinks
Now the scene is falling through
Over there, they're not over there
Once empty corner now filled with her
Why am I here?
Why am I here?
Why am I here?
Why am I here?
Watch him leave the floor
My body's edging towards the door
And I return instead
I'm not done pretending yet
Never done pretending yet
I'm indifferent.
Let me go
Gonna dance and think of him no more
Never, never understand the words I wrote
Never mind aheart thats broken right
He could never be mine
Something that I do is fight, fight it
I'm indifferent to you
I've got nothing for you
Empty spaces and empty spaces
(empty spaces)
And rocking numbers
(and rocking numbers)
And I can't hear it
Empty spaces and rocking numbers
And reaching for the banister
I'm indifferent
Let me go
Dance and think of him no more
Never never understand the words
Never mind a heart thats broken right...
I'm indifferent
Let me go
Gonna dance and think of him no more
Never never understand the words I wrote
Never mind a heart thats broken right
You could never be mine
Something that I do is fight, fight it

I've got nothing for you
I've got nothing for you now
I've got nothing for you now

Nothing for you now...

I'm a little ticked that not so many people here seem to care about Meg & Dia. :@ I really love 'em. Not just because they're cute or something stupid like that, but because they have good lyrics, and can sing. It's a lot better than R&B skanks that sing about nonsense. Anyway, here's what I think the song's about:
Guy breaks up with girl, girl goes to the club in a state of despair, girl sees guy there with new girl. Decides to leave, but changes her mind and dances her pain away in a volley of super saiyan lvl 3 goku fists, totally moshing peoples' faces to the floor while she goes "III'M INDIFFERENT LET ME GOOO0OO".
I rest my case.
i agree with nightpride on everything except for the moshing part. i couldnt imagine dia singing about moshing..and in a club? hmm well i also think that the girl isnt over it but knows he is and wont ever be with her again but she pretends like she doesnt care. i like it
I agree with what's said. I always imagine them to be the same characters as in 'I'll find mine'
Timmy seems to be the rough version of Roses....the intro especially! Although the songs chorus and stuff sound different, I'm pretty sure the wrote Timmy and then Roses formulated from it! Anyone else agree?
If I'm right then yeah. This is an earlier version of Roses. Meg rewrote the guitar solo intro thing for the song when they were working on the new record and she ended up rewriting the whole song... lol.
I like this song so much better than roses...its just...so much more real.
It totally could work for first crushes at a middle school dance too, going there like Degrassi: The Next Generation.
this osng reminds me so much of roses
As well as Roses, you can also here a foreshadowing of Setting Up Sunday at the "empty spaces" part.
this song is about a girl who's boyfriend wrote a note saying he wanted to break up and she gos to a club or party and dances to forget about him
