---When I hear the chorus, I think it's saying that he's invisible to everyone, obviosuly (I can't think of a deeper meaning) and he's telling her that even though their situation is difficult, he was what she once wanted, and she's everything he needs. He's saying he'll change enough for her to love him, but he tries, and she still doesn't care so he's saying that much trying for something isn't worth it, so he's better off with his faults.
