I think this song is about waiting for someone, for as long as this person needs to learn to love again or to open up to them. Even if they've been through trying issues or experiences. So cute. They played this live a couple days ago, and I just...fell in love, right there. I couldn't take my eyes off him while he sang it. They are amazing, and I bought their cds the very next day. I cannot stop listening to this song. It's one of the most gorgeous songs I've heard in a long while.

This song is a song of longing. About someone that has experienced the love of another only to have it slip or taken away for a reason that is beyond their control or knowledge. A person that has found completely what they want, yet with no means or reason or recourse to get it back, other than to wait. To have found your dream only to lose it. The old test, if you love something set it free, if it comes back, it loves you. \

i think its a song to his wife, and to in a way thank her for sticking around while he goes out and does his thing throughout the years...
