The Animal Farm pigs are both the initiators of an utopian society with equality for all, and the ones who brought the downfall of this society through more authoritarian power turned corrupt.

This could equally be "12 monkeys" or "Brazil" or the desperation and hopelessness common to both.

This line is less clear. Somehow, I think it is can be related to Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine, which depicts USA's government and media as colluded powers that cultivate fear because it has a paralyzing effect on masses. The same sort of effect is also described in Noam Chomsky's books that analyze mechanisms through which people in power can manipulate masses.

This big chunk points at the political system as the cause of USA's fall. One hundred million easy marks refers to voters. The product of 3 million millionaires is most probably one expenditure of roughly 3 Trillion dollars though I am not sure which one.

Marie Antoinette dilapidated money for superficial amusements which owed her the nickname of "Mrs. Deficit" and her Austrian origin coupled with Austrian sympathies at the expense of her own country (France) fueled hatred towards foreign countries. McCarthy, inversely, cultivated suspicion and hate internally in USA.

The pigs in the book Animal Farm also by George Orwell are Communists(the farm is really russia), I don't know why they would call them selfs Communists as they are anarchists and not Communists, but i guess anarchists just arn't talked-about/showen in pop culture and Communism is close enough to anarchism.

BTW George Orwell was a Anarcho-syndicalist even if he didn't like Communism he still was anti-capitalist.

well i'm guessing some of it is sarcasm because they are very sarcastic people. Communism is Anti-Fascism.

@ricardsju: He probably doesn't literally mean everything he says... so he doesn't mean he's a communist. I think the overall feeling of the movie just fit his lyrics in this song.
