I'm not here to entertain you
I'm here to meet my friend the Russian, the Irish, the German, the Columbian
I don't care how bad I fuck up
I care about how fucked up I get
I'm not your clown, I'm your dealer
And I'm holding three bindles of bullshit
And you're buying 'em 'cause you are addicted
To the pure and totally uncut
I'm not here to amuse you
I'm here to abuse my body
I'm here because old habits die hard
And seriously, what else am I supposed to do?
This isn't my job, my hobby, my habit, it's sad
But this is my life
Welcome to our mission statement
Total self-debasement
And not giving our all
Watch us fall
It's not that we don't pull it
It's just that we only give about 60 or so percent
Would you rather be fed bullshit
From some 20-something makeup wearing popstar
"This one goes out to all our fans all over the world!
Without you, it'd just be us!
So I just want to say thank you! We fucking love you, Modesto!"
Fuck you!
And you're taking it easy before the show
So you won't lose your voice and disappoint your fans routine
You don't care about the children, you don't even know them
All you know is their money
I'm here to meet my friend the Russian, the Irish, the German, the Columbian
I don't care how bad I fuck up
I care about how fucked up I get
I'm not your clown, I'm your dealer
And I'm holding three bindles of bullshit

I think that this song is criticizing pop stars for doing it for just the money and pretending that their fans are the essence of their music.
I'm here to meet my friend the Russian, the Irish, the German, the Columbian
could this mean vodka, whiskey, beer, and coke?
I believe that's right.
I believe that's right.
No, "its I'm not your clown". Sounds a lot like clone though. I thought this song's meaning was fairly simple. This is Mike basically saying that he doesn't entertain his fans, his fans need him. His fans need him like people are addicted to drugs. Thus, "I'm not your clown, I'm your dealer." Where he later compares his music to drugs. He doesn't write the songs to get money. He writes them because this is his whole life, and he'd be bored without it.
so with all these lyrics about doing it for themselves and shit.. do you think they would mind that i have downloaded the whole NOFX discography? this may be "stealing" but DLing all nofx and bad religion has actually had one of the biggest influences on my life. plus i dont have the money to buy every album. id rather buy some weed and get high and listen to my nofx collection as i have a mental orgasm from the lyrics and reality NOFX imposes on me.
I think this song is about "nofx indipendent ethic" Against "20-something makeup wearing popstar" and their hipocrise
This is the best song of new album
i also agree that this is the best song on the album, but is the part when they say "I'm not your clown, I'm your dealer" taking a shot at the lawrence arms when they say "We are the clowns only here to entertain."? cuz as much as i like the lawrence arms, thats still prretty funny.
I'm pretty sure it's "I'm not your clone"
I agree with modern man. This is their life.. actualy they say that in other new songs. They arnen't doing for others they are doing it for themselves and I think thats how it should be! I'm sure some punk bands that have gone pop don't even like their own music, they are just doing it for money and for more fans.. it's sad really....
Basically what moden man and ccpunk said. It's not a happy message, and it may upset some fans, but whatever. Music's music, here's your $20, gimme my fix.
About what clashcityrocker said, that line may or may not be an inside line with The LA, but i doubt its a shot at them. They are on Fat wreck after all =D
