Anna Rose Lyrics
Anna Rose sleep well tonight
the stars are dancing on the carpet of the sky
time to close your wondering eyes
where I see the sleepiness creeping
Anna Rose it makes my heart smile
to know you give love so freely
Anna Rose it makes it worthwhile
your love makes me see things so clearly
how it grows heaven knows
Anna Rose sleep well tonight
Anna Rose it's time to dream
I see that your imagination knows no bounds
there it flows like some magical stream
and carries you on its journey
Anna Rose it makes my heart smile
to know you give love so freely
Anna Rose it makes it worthwhile
your love makes me see things so clearly
how it grows heaven knows
Anna Rose dream well tonight
the stars are dancing on the carpet of the sky
time to close your wondering eyes
where I see the sleepiness creeping
to know you give love so freely
Anna Rose it makes it worthwhile
your love makes me see things so clearly
how it grows heaven knows
Anna Rose sleep well tonight
I see that your imagination knows no bounds
there it flows like some magical stream
and carries you on its journey
to know you give love so freely
Anna Rose it makes it worthwhile
your love makes me see things so clearly
how it grows heaven knows
Anna Rose dream well tonight

A beautiful lullaby... very well crafted, I love how the instrumentals sound like a dream, you can almost hear her stirring. I have a younger sister named Anna Rose and it sort of became her theme song after she heard it.
"My friend Carolyn came back from babysitting one evening with a rolled-up sheet of paper in her hand. It was a crayon drawing of a child tucked into bed, watching rain pelt at the window as a grownup sat nearby -- Lullabye For A Stormy Night, she explained. She'd played a preliminary recording for the kids, and after listening avidly several times through one little girl had decided to draw a picture of it for me. The girl's name is Anna Rose. To this day I've never met her."
word's from vienna herself from her old web site.
Vienna once explained that this is the natural sequel to Shasta and Homecoming, Anna Rose being the child of Carrie and Walter.
I find this to be the most sappy, sentimental song on Warm Strangers. When I do get a chance to listen to it, the words come alive and they're perfect.
I am lacking in experiences with charming children, sigh.
The lyrics flow like some magical stream. I love it. It's sweet melidies and soft harmonies are perfect for any lullabye
