My Bedroom Is Like For Artists Lyrics

May your music break my ear drums.
And your pavement scrape my knees. And the next time I get up and try leaving town
Shoot my fucking plane to the ground.

I saw new things in the same old town
That year after I decided being dead inside wasn't an option.
I think I can be too romantic.
Yeah I think I was just too romantic.

I see life alive in so many peoples eyes.
Let's hope we won't be dead inside.
I see life alive in so many peoples eyes.
Let's hope we won't be dead inside.

Even though it's warm down here.
Don't let it lull us to sleep.
I think I can be too romantic.
Yeah I think I was just too romantic.

Streets gentrified like it's no problem.
Boys in bands still singing about killing their girlfriends.
People leave communities while their still struggling.
Come on everybody sing along, we're to blame.

Punks start dealing with their own white privilige.
We tell all the boys to stop being so aggressive.
Actually giving a shit about the place we live in.
Come on everybody sing along, let's fix this.

I see life alive in many peoples... eyes.

I've taken it totally different to anyone else on here i think haha.

To me it's about having love for the place you're from, realising it's shitty and wanting to do something about it. Like a call to arms.

Maybe it is about a scene, but it seemed to fit better as an observation on where they live to begin with, before realising something needs to change.

First off, lyrics as good as these can be interpreted different ways, so I respect everyone's viewpoint, but I do have an opinion as to what the song is about. To me it's about being from a poor community, being a bit cynical about things ever getting better and the consequences that could occur when changes take place. Knowing that things could be better but also realizing that things will never be the same after they are. Gentrification is when rich people displace poor people and things seemingly improve, but the people who couldn't afford to live where they previously had are simply driven out. This song to me is about moving on, keeping a positive attitude, and staying true to your roots. That's just what I think. Latterman rocks!

This song is awsome. I heard about latterman from alt press, they were compared to against me! against me is way better, but this bands pretty good too.

-1 for readng alt press.

In all honesty the people that've posted before me probably do understand half of what Latterman is saying, solely because well, they're 13 and just like punk rock. It's cool though, latterman is a good band, But what this song is really about is growing up in a place that you hate so much, but with out it you wouldn't know how to love anymore, and the fact that life ends when you leave and new life begins, and you'll never get that back.

Uhh...what? I'm pretty sure it's about finding a scene or community you love: "the next time I get up and try leaving town Shoot my fucking plane to the ground I saw new things in the same old town"

And even when it seems fucked or things aren't the way you think they should be, you need to stick around and try to improve it: "Even though it's warm down here Don't let it lull us to sleep"

"Streets gentrified like it's no problem..."
