The end of the world? Considering periods of war, famine, and violence, I think it means that it is too late, we knew they wouldn't last this long.. we know we are violent, and our time is coming.

To me, this song can be interpreted as the visualization, as seen from a bystander watching the earth slowly deteriorate under the sheer armount of humans on the planet, as we are using up more resources than nature can provide us with, hence "The world is growing loud" can be taken as overpopulation.

On another perspective, it could be taken as a view from a relationship.
