That is just wonderful. Most of us have been there at some point in our lives. What a gift to be able to encapsulate what i such a common experience with such clarity.

OMG am I really the first person to comment on this song !? Jackson Browne is amazing and this song is beautiful. I love the part where it goes "I can cry with the best I can laugh with the rest But I'm never sure when it's real"
Indeed this is a beautiful song. Jacksons voice reflects very sincere and heartfelt in the line "I hope it finds me in time." If he hasn't been there, then he is an incredible actor of his lyrics. His music expresses being there as well as anybody.
God bless Lowell George. His touch is so present in this tune.
