Already In Lyrics

It's you to me
You're gentle face
Overdue, worth the wait
And out of my reach
But I'm reaching out for you
Me to the night
I say goodbye
The time is up
I fight the time
A needed award
I can't afford
A finished song
One more cord

And it's already in my mind
I'm in over my head inside
And it's already in my mind
Inside
Inside

Everyone's back
Hearts at war
With all the plans I had before
And I'm losing my grip
But, I'd lose it all for you
So I go driving all around
And I'm denying all the sounds that hit my ear
Drum the beat of a heart I can't defeat

And so it's already in my mind
I'm in over my head inside
And it's already in my mind
Inside
Inside

First of all I like this new artist. I was even more impressed he wrote all the songs. Great talent.

I think this song is about a guy who really loves this girl but maybe more than she loves him at this point. Maybe the end of a relationship "a finished song... one more chord." It seems something he shouldn't want but his heard is in over his head! He's reeling from the end of a relationship he wants so badly to hold on to.

Other than Beautiful Disaster, I think this is one of his best songs.

They both have that upbeat kind of indie thing to them.

I know Jon pretty well actually. He grew up in our town of Anderson, IN. He graduated from Anderson University where I currently go. He has always said that this song is about a blind date he went on his freshman year of college. I can't remember if it was with his now wife, Amy. Who knows?

This song is about being a gone-r for someone. It's like you are already dreaming about this person and they are just every other thought. Even if it's not all reality yet.

It's the time when you dream of what could be :)
