From Across The Sea Lyrics
Stay with me as the day is dying.
There are things in me,
I don't want to fell asleep with.
With a broken heart,
Her name on the tip of my tongue.
Oh Emily,
That is how I'll end this evening.
It's just the hours you die.
And the sleep is no longer rest,
It's just the hours you die.
And the sleep is no longer rest,
It's just the hours you die.
And the sleep is no longer rest,
It's just the hours you die.
Stay with me,
The words will make us company.
Our voices will make our hearts calm down,
So stay with me Emily.
Stay with me.
Stay with me as the day is dying.
There are things in me,
I don't want to fall asleep.
It's just the hours you die.
And the sleep is no longer rest,
It's just the hours you die.
And the sleep is no longer rest,
It's just the hours you die.
And the sleep is no longer rest,
It's just the hours you die.

break up.
in my point of view "And the sleep is no longer rest, It's just the hours you die" is about how you can somehow push back some feelings during the day when you meet people and do some kind of work, but as soon as you go to bed you're all alone. there's only yourself and your thoughts and so all feelings just overwelm you. you feel miserable. and you just lie there, instead of sleeping, and feel like dying. because sometimes, no matter how tired you are, the feeling is just stronger than your need to sleep and there's nothing you can do about it then and there.
wonderfully put. Exactly this
wonderfully put. Exactly this

I really like - "the sleep is no longer rest, It's just the hours you die"
It's reminds me of when you are really busy and you have no time to do anything so when you sleep your not resting you are just shutting off for a while.

It's obviously clear that when you don't wanna spend even a second beside him/her, this is what it reminds as the chorus goes...
"And the sleep is no longer rest, It's just the hours you die."
