Most of the song is pretty self explanatory, clearly about a rich posh girl having a party while her parents are away and she's clearly losing it a bit, but I think the one thing I'd definitely say is that I really believe the "cigarette smoker" is sarcastic and that she's not just smoking tobacco but weed which ties in well with the ending all about the disguise not working. I think it may have been some dodgey stuff or it has just not gone down well with her due to her usually proper sounding environment and that's why she's losing it and that's what he's referring to when he says "how much you've had" etc in the chorus as there is no mention of her drinking throughout the song and that's why there's such strong emphasis on the fact she's smoking.
well not as good as the demo, but still a decent version. these lyrics are possibly more understandable than the other ones and i prefer the chorus, i like how it's like one long sentence split up in different lines... if that makes sense. Being a northener myself i can relate to the whole north south devide.
Not as good as Cigarette Smoke, but this aint bad either. Tho i don't like the title, the 'Fiona' makes it weird somehow.
Sounds like they've been invited to a rich girl's party while her family are away and she's had far too much to drink and the party is getting out of control.
its about a problem rich girl who's putting on strength. and of course, the teenager house party.
i reckon this issss a class song. One of my favourites :) the chorus is cool :P

-Her brother didnt enjoy the party. it was a waste of time. went to the strippers which he was probably going to go to before he knew about the party.
-She was rich and that so easily couldve been a posh stuck up bitch. But wasnt.
Amazing song, lyrics are great, the way he puts into words a whole point of view about rich families and girls specificly, and those partys where high society sort of "looses it".
I imagine the guys from the band laughing and joking around in that context.
The way he pronounces the words in this song and the rithm the lyrics have are amazing things to pay atention to also.
