Nation, Forgive Us Lyrics
You want to talk about indecision?
Just take a look at all the Seminole lies
We are the product, misinformation, a generation milked by a Columbian high
Then we could trace it to a loud salvation
Back when eleven fell onto its side
If we're so hopeless then why'd you mod us to be nothing more than soldiers with impressionable minds?
Nation, forgive us.
We are young but don't cast us all aside
You want to talk about revelation
A backfire lash against the paradigm
Yeah it was easy then, when you could scold us
But you cannot beleive that we will commit to your crimes
Nation, forgive us
We are young but don't cast us
Father forgive us we are young
but don't make us stand in line.
Just take a look at all the Seminole lies
We are the product, misinformation, a generation milked by a Columbian high
Back when eleven fell onto its side
If we're so hopeless then why'd you mod us to be nothing more than soldiers with impressionable minds?

Father forgive us we are young
but don't make us stand in line.

im thinking this about how a lot of adults are blaming everythign that goes wrogn these days on the teens and "youngsters" of the country, and how its not really our fault. cool song.
hmm. makes sense, what miss_kate said. so yeah. AARRGH, this song drives me nuts with how good it is... is this the best band ever or the best band ever?? It's the best band ever. So there.
It's about the responsibilities that older generations place on younger teens and such while taking away our freedoms. They think we're going to be the end of the country, but in reality, they're the ones holding us back.
I LOVE the lyrics to this song.
"a generation milked by a Columbian high" - A generation disillusioned, as if on 'columbian' drugs.
"Back when eleven fell onto its side" - 9/11. '11', each '1' being a building.
Love the band, love the song.
This band is amazing. I saw them live and this is the song I remember most. They're great preformers. I think miss_kate is right about the adults blame kids for everything, and treat them unfairly. I
yah, i think its how they treat us unfairly and dont give us a say, though they still blame it all on us.
which is basically what you`ve said.
I love the part "You want to talk about indecision? Just take a look at all the Seminole lies." I believe it is talking about how the US treated the Native Americans when they came to this country. I agree with the other points about how it is about the new generation being mistreated. The Seminole part is showing that the old way wasn't that good either.
By the way... My band played with these guys in concert. It blew my mind. www.myspace.com/pitchred (My band)
