37 Push Ups Lyrics
47 push ups
in a winter-rate
sea side motel
I feel like Travis Bickle
I'm listening to Highway to Hell
It's a shitty little tape I taped off the radio
39 push ups
in a winter-rate
sea side motel
32 push ups
in a winter-rate
sea side motel
Not looking too good
Not feeling so well
37 push ups
in a winter-rate seaside motel
I'm going up again
Goin' up to go down again
in a winter-rate
sea side motel
I'm listening to Highway to Hell
It's a shitty little tape I taped off the radio
in a winter-rate
sea side motel
in a winter-rate
sea side motel
Not feeling so well
in a winter-rate seaside motel
I'm going up again
Goin' up to go down again

To me this has gotta be bill's most menacing and hard-hitting song. It's full of desperation and pathetic stream-of-consciousness. Pretty much just about futility and life's slow descent, like a lot of his earlier stuff. brilliant song.

Life is turbulent; ups are followed by downs and vice versa. He's feeling like crap right now, but he'll get better, and then he'll get worse again, and so on. Hence the push-ups. Up, down, up, down.
