This is one of my all-time favorite songs (from the movie "Fame"), and I adore Sondre... please, someone, tell me there's a way to get it! iTunes says no... :(
Sondre Lerche never sang this song.
Sondre Lerche covered it at one of his concerts. You could probably find it on some program like SoulSeek or Limewire.
He said he never sang it, in one of his old monologues.
"The song some of you might have come across on the internet called "Is it okay if I call you mine", is not written, nor recorded by me. The song is a bootleg recording of someone who resembles my voice to the dot (it maybe even is me?), recorded at a schoolplay several years ago. Rumour has it the song was featured in the musical "Fame". I cannot remember participating in any version of this famous starschool-musical, although I cannot deny the fact that whoever imitating me, is doing a rather excellent job."

This is a cover of the song by Paul McCrane from the Fame original sound track, 1980 (source: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080716/soundtrack/?ref_=tt_trv_snd). Sondre Lerche claims the version attributed to him is a "bootleg recording of someone who resembles my voice". But since this "someone" sounds unmistakenly like Sondre Lerche himself, I reckon his denial is because of either legal reasons or his personal disapproval about the recording.
All this aside, it is a beautiful song and this performance surpasses the many other covers of this song.
