the fourth and fifth paragraphs make me smile every time. especially how he sounds out and stresses every syllable in "needless to say i ain't gonna get none".

It's about the Simpsons, The Spice Girls (Posh spice, Beckham's wife). The text doesn't seem to be very intellectual and more funny than serious.
sidewalk: There's no mention of the Simpsons in this song. There's a mention of Larry, Curly, Shemp and Moe from the Three Stooges though. That's the only thing I could see you mistake as a reference to the Simpsons.
Basically, this is just a nonsense song. It's fun, but there's really not any big meaning behind it.

SO I'm pretty sure the lyrics "Bring out the credit card let's by a friend a rose" should be "Bring out the credit card let's buy a fender rhodes" It makes more sense to use a credit card to buy a fender rhodes (an expensive keyboard no longer being made) thenusing a credit card to buy a friend a rose. Just my thoughtd and what I;ve always thought it was when i listened to the song. Opinions?
this song was probably written when eric was pissed off, even if you listen to it, he sounds pissed. it makes this song so much better.
I love the line about the three stooges. Larry, Curly, and Shemp were the nice guys in the Three Stooges while Moe was a jerk. He's saying that there are far more a**holes than there are nice guys in the world.
