Good transcription - only slight error is in the penultimate verse. It's not "Oh, time has leering on". The words are "Our time has nearly gone".

This is a brilliantly constructed song by my favourite band of the moment. I think it's about being pessimistic or thinking that things will be better than they turn out to be. Fantastic!

They said Suzie is their picture of a very hot girl.....fav song at the moment...
I think the chorus is brilliant, to me it is very poignant because it sounds like he's offering himself to her "I'm yours tonight", but he knows he's going to get rejected; rather than counting than the days to a date etc, happily, he already knows he's just gonna be dissapointed.
