Barael's Blade Lyrics
forged by the crow-mage from shards of darkness
honed by the halfbreed to vorpal sharpness
behold!
the bastard's blade
bane of the demon lord
slayer of the spider-priests
spiller of the silver blood
fragments of bore infused with purest steel
a warrior's hand and a wizard's mind to wield
killer of Lor, avenging those accursed
gathering knowledge, quenching deadly thirst
honed by the halfbreed to vorpal sharpness
behold!
the bastard's blade
slayer of the spider-priests
spiller of the silver blood
a warrior's hand and a wizard's mind to wield
killer of Lor, avenging those accursed
gathering knowledge, quenching deadly thirst

The word "vorpal" comes originally from a poem called "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Caroll in his sequal to "Alice in Wonderland", "Through the Looking Glass". It was later used in D&D, then it spread. I just thought whoever reading this might like to know.
And just to make a point i dont sit here and analyze this shit, im not sitting here with my compass and calculator like a Tool fan with their next album (no offense, Tool rocks almost as hard as The Sword)
Most badass band ever? I thought so.

the intro to this song is called Celestial Crown, the switch between these is fucking sweet!
Who gives a fuck about the specifics? This lore is clearly founded in some sort of mythology but the song sings of a bastard wielding his blade and mind to fuck up his foes! Fuck yeah, Iron from Ice!
If Professor Tolkien wrote metal lyrics, they would be like this 🖤🖤.
@Bearserker if they were any good, lyrics wouldn’t need musical accompaniment—they’d be poems. Still there is always a redeeming verse in most lyrics. Music, not words, generate endorphins. How you feel by pg, 50 or so of “Howl”?

@Bearserker The internet is determined to destroy anything enjoyable because everyone has to suffer or Jesus won’t come back.

@Bearserker “My body, my choice.” Unless it’s fun; then God forgets all that “free will” horseshit.
