Leave The Pieces Lyrics

You're not sure that you love me
But you're not sure enough to let me go
Baby it ain't fair, you know
To keep me hanging 'round
You say you don't want to hurt me
Don't want to see my tears
So why you still standing here
Watching me drown?

And it's alright, and I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just take your love and hit the road
There's nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

Now you can drag out this heartache
Or baby you can make it quick
Really get it over with
And just let me move on
Don't concern yourself
With this mess you left for me
I can clean it up, you see
Just as long as you're gone

And it's alright, and I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just take your love and hit the road
There's nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

You're not making up your mind
It's killin' me and wastin' time
And I need so much more than that
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Yeah it's alright, and I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just take your love and hit the road
There's nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

Oh, yeah
Just leave the pieces when you go

Oooo, yeah, leave the pieces when you go
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

This song is an amazing one. I am a huge fan of Michelle Branch and this song is totally her, the lyrics and whatnot.

I believe it's about being in a relationship, though it goes South. And rather than drag it out and create more heartache, they should let it go before it goes any farther, causing more pain to both.

I meant south, as in, going bad. Not South like, Alabama south....

It's such a nice song that it really sucks there are so few comments. I'm not a fan of country but I like this song.

Would like to specify--- I am not a country fan by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just a fan of people doing what they were clearly born to do, and Jess Harp and M. Branch were so obviously born to make music like this. In fact, this song is too cool to be labelled country. I would like, henceforth, to call it Organically Rustic. Just take your love and hit the road, suckers!!! This song owns!

Be nice, honey. You don't have to be ashamed that you like something that's country. No need to be in denial. Michelle Branch and Jess Harp are proud to call it country, so you should be, too. There happen to be a lot of really good country songs, thanks.

This song really hits me. I've been in this situation. I knew the relationship wasn't going to work and he kept on trying to keep me in it...and kept sweet talking me. He could never make up his mind if he wanted me or not so I dumped him. I love this song. It's great and they're voices sound great together.
