Candy Shop Lyrics

Well, piece by piece and nail by nail it’ll all come down some day before the fires of hell

You let me in your house
You let me in your house
You let me in your house with a hammer
Set to tile or set to stone
Tit for tat and bone for bone
I’m goin’ to set fire to your glamour

Well now rock that candy shop
Rock that candy shop
Rock that candy shop set it on fire
Run away and watch it burn
I’ve got to set fire to your glamour

Bah da dee…

Rock that candy shop
Rock that candy shop
Rock that candy shop set it on fire
Run away watch it burn
Smell the ashes in the air
Of this silly game we’re sure to tire

Well, you let me in your house
You let me in your house
You let me in your house with a hammer
Set to tile or set to stone
Tit for tat and bone for bone
I’m goin’ to set fire to your glamour
Yes to your glamour
Yes little mama, to your glamour
To your….

Let it rock
Listen to me now let it rock, let it rock now

Rock that candy shop

holy crap. i guess not a lot of people listen to mr. bird. this song is amazing! he really sounds like he could be straight out of the swing era

The whole album he was going through a swing phase. This song gives me the best metal image of someone happily smashing things randomly in a house.

I feel like the girl (little mama) did something terrible to him, and he's ravaging her stuff in revenge ("tit for tat"- like 'an eye for an eye')

haha, i used to like this song better when i thought it was "I'm going to set fire to your grandma".

anyway, it sounds like a revenge song. "Well, piece by piece and nail by nail it?ll all come down some day before the fires of hell", sounds like a warning, saying that this person (little mama?) should wait for his comeback.

i love this song so much. i was really big into andrew bird last summer and had no idea about this stuff. it's so perfect. such a great compliment to his new work.

Love this tune. It does indeed sound like it came straight from the Swing Era, which is a very big compliment to Mr. Bird.

Is that Larry Bird the former basketball star or Big Bird, Obama's friend?

This song is sooooo amazing. I nearly scream with glee everytime I hear it.

I love "I'm going to set fire to your glamour"

This is probably going out on a limb but that line makes me think of the rejection of mainstream trends and what is thought to be "glamourous" and "cool"

My Opinion

An extended, raunchy, catcall done entirely in sexual innuendo

I don't know why I said catcall! I meant "An extended, raunchy, wolf whistle done entirely in sexual innuendo."

Anyway, it's hot!
