Once Upon a December Lyrics
Dancing bears,
Painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December
Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory...
Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an ember,
Things my heart used to know,
Once upon a December
Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory...
Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an ember,
Things my heart used to know,
Things it yearns to remember...
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December
Painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory...
Glowing dim as an ember,
Things my heart used to know,
Once upon a December
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory...
Glowing dim as an ember,
Things my heart used to know,
Things it yearns to remember...
Once upon a December

I love this song. it touches something deep inside and makes you think of all the goodness of childhood...things that are bittersweet now.
the music in this song is so beautiful.
"Far away, long ago Glowing dim as an ember, Things my heart used to know, Things it yearns to remember..."
to me, that part specifically hits home. i think it means that as we've gotten older, we seem to lose a part of ourselves from when we were younger and there are times where our hearts try so hard to go back to that place.
this song is just beutiful. The way the words flow and harmony in it is amazing. It reminds you of the things that meant so much to us in childhood.
This song reminded me of my grandmother, Nana, who died very recently. She was the best thing in my life, and this song has lots of meaning. It reminds me of memories i had with her.
