The Great Affair Is To Move Lyrics
I'm a new drug trafficking my way
Through far and distant lands.
I'll pump through these twisted blood streams
To every corner of your body.
Despite all maps and borders,
And all the wars and globes,
I've been led to uncharted lands.
Forget your compass and scars,
This world will tear you apart.
I'm a newborn taking my first steps.
Eyes like bloated beach balls,
They'll surely pop.
Pop!
All day I shit and eat.
All night I crawl and sleep.
My rattle shakes.
My crib awaits.
But paved ivy's my home.
Despite all maps and borders,
And all the wars and globes,
I've been led to uncharted lands.
Forget your compass and scars,
This world will tear you apart.
You close your eyes to dream.
I steer and strum towards mine.
Would you believe the gall
This universe so proudly breeds?
I could abandon my coast
For the opposite edge of the states.
I could vanish to the vast cavities of space.
But one brute's consistency will forever remain,
My endless potential for pain.
Through far and distant lands.
I'll pump through these twisted blood streams
To every corner of your body.
And all the wars and globes,
I've been led to uncharted lands.
Forget your compass and scars,
This world will tear you apart.
Eyes like bloated beach balls,
They'll surely pop.
Pop!
All day I shit and eat.
All night I crawl and sleep.
My rattle shakes.
My crib awaits.
But paved ivy's my home.
And all the wars and globes,
I've been led to uncharted lands.
Forget your compass and scars,
This world will tear you apart.
I steer and strum towards mine.
Would you believe the gall
This universe so proudly breeds?
I could abandon my coast
For the opposite edge of the states.
I could vanish to the vast cavities of space.
But one brute's consistency will forever remain,
My endless potential for pain.

this song is pretty good, plus you gotta love a band that would reference one of the great characters of all time intheir name!
This song is very good. I love it actually. I'm not sure what it means but probably it's about a girl.
Hm.
you just assume its about a girl? wtf? where do you get that?
well being as the title is a reference to Robert Louis Stevenson's book Treasure Island, I would have to say that the song is more likely not about a girl but the journey to an island of fable and lore. the first stanza would be personifying the earth the "twisted blood streams" being rivers, and "every corner of your body" probably meaning a body of water. So on, and so forth.
are you sure it's not "forget your compass and stars"?
I'm a new drug who's trafficked Through fire and distant lands. I pump through the twisted blood streams To every corner of your body.
Despite all maps and borders, And all the wars and globes, I've been led to uncharted lands. Forget your compass and stars, This world will tear you apart.
I'm a newborn (a newborn) taking my first steps. Eyes like bloated beach balls, They'll surely, surely Pop! Pop! All day I shit and eat. All night I crawl and sleep. My rattle shakes. My crib awaits. But paved ivy's my home.
Despite all maps and borders, And all the wars and globes, I've been led to uncharted lands. Forget your compass and stars, This world will tear you apart.
(I used to be smart, now I'm just stupid)
You close your eyes to dream. I steer and strum towards mine. Well, would you believe the gall This universe so proudly breeds? I could abandon my coast For the opposite edge of the states. I could vanish to the vast cavities of space. Brute's consistency will forever remain, My endless potential for pain.
My edit =) Hope it's close
I feel like this song is reminiscent of the "I've got a Witch..."
No matter how far we go There's no escaping the glow We'll take our seats at the throne Wonderland is now our home
Despite escaping past the city of Wonderland, the 'newborn' is exploring the vast world - which is exactly the same as Wonderland. Like the baby, who shits like all other babies, the world breeds pain ("would you believe the gall/the universe so proudly breeds?"). So not so much Pain, I think, but world in general.
Artwork: It's just a flat plane, like a map, that has an erected city in the middle, presumeably wonderland.
