Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division cover) Lyrics
When routine bites hard
And ambitions are low
And resentment rides high
But emotions won't grow
And we're changing our ways, taking different roads
Then love, love will tears us apart again
Love, love will tears us apart again
Why is the bedroom so cold
You've turned away on your side
Is my timing that flawed?
Our respect run so dry
Yet there's still this appeal that we've kept through our lives
But love, love will tears us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again
You cry out in your sleep
All my failings exposed
And there's a taste in my mouth
As desperation takes hold
Just that something so good just can't function no more
But love, love will tear us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again
And ambitions are low
And resentment rides high
But emotions won't grow
And we're changing our ways, taking different roads
Love, love will tears us apart again
You've turned away on your side
Is my timing that flawed?
Our respect run so dry
Yet there's still this appeal that we've kept through our lives
Love, love will tear us apart again
All my failings exposed
And there's a taste in my mouth
As desperation takes hold
Just that something so good just can't function no more
Love, love will tear us apart again

Pete Wentz(bassist of Fall Out Boy), said he had always wanted to die like Ian Curtis. I wish he followed through with his dream.
wentz deserves to die taking a shit while someone else takes a shit on him as well. i hope he dies while filming 2 dudes 1 cup. any other way and it would be unfair.
I prefer the energy of Joy Division's version. (Ian was SO incredibly talented.) This version is very good, though. I have, unfortunately, never cared for the beliveability of the song lyrics, though. It makes me think of Too Close to Love You by Alex Clare. Both songs don't make much sense lyrically, and I like lyrics to make sense. The opposite of love is indifference, and indifference tears people apart. Love is a unifier...always. Wars, for example, are not fought, won, and lost over love (other than love of self or money). Anyway, I am a "word nerd," and although the musical quality of this song is excellent, the words are all wrong.
Nobody will ever, ever ever do a cover of this song that tops the original but The Cure have achieved something with this song by not creating a complete insult to it. clap clap
I thinnk it's so weird how these british 70' bands seem to have created a little group between themselves (obviously curtis isn't among them). I mean The Cure, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, and Siouxie and the Banshees. Isn't it weird? It's cool as hades though!
Well, for one, they were among the first goth bands ever. And I think it's logical, therefore, that they like eachother's songs. As for the song itself, the original is better, though I must say that I don't dislike the cover...
This cover tops the original, hands down.
Just thought this was really weird, but as soon as I clicked on this, it started playing on my iPod.
^^^ you're fucking gay and so is fall out boy. please fucking die.
^Hahaha. That was rather mean, funny but mean.
