Everybody Needs A Fence To Lean On Lyrics
I am looking, lookin' for something
can't quite put my mind at ease
'cause i need to see, see an opening
take my arms in and bring
bring it together, make it warmer
all for me...
Lookin' for the sun in England
Throw him a lifeline cause he's sinkin'
cuz everybodys got their enemies
and everybody needs a fence to lean on
remember how the hospitals were vacant
Cuz everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
I am watching, guarding the moments
they are leaving like all of you
you're looking at nothin'
and walking through darkness
Today could be the same for me too
Cuz everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
I am watching, guarding the moments
they are leaving like all of you
you're looking at nothing
walking through darkness
Today could be the same for me too
can't quite put my mind at ease
'cause i need to see, see an opening
take my arms in and bring
bring it together, make it warmer
all for me...
Throw him a lifeline cause he's sinkin'
cuz everybodys got their enemies
and everybody needs a fence to lean on
remember how the hospitals were vacant
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
they are leaving like all of you
you're looking at nothin'
and walking through darkness
Today could be the same for me too
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
everybody's got their enemies
they are leaving like all of you
you're looking at nothing
walking through darkness
Today could be the same for me too

The first part of this song sounds like the aftermath of a break up. The person feels cold maybe because they have nobody to go to and are trying to find comfort somewhere but can't. It may even be about packing your things and moving on in life. I donno but it feels like a mix of starting to grow up and trying to hold on to the past of memories back when you were a kid. This song has mixed emotions, and the beat shows this on every verse. Good song overall.
i think maybe this song is about the 2nd world war. if you read the lyrics, is does seem to make sense.about the concentration camps, and how they completely just destroyed the souls of the people in them. and the enemies "everybody's got their enemies."about the extremity of it for them, the extremity of the attitudes of their enemies.
i think maybe laura123laura is An Retard.
laura123laura is not "An Retard" for looking at it differently but i honestly couldn't see it that way.
it's a pretty song by the way :)
