Top song on the album for me. Pretty easy to analyze. "Before our love fades away" is sung so truthfully. Ben Harper has a way of capturing everything in it's true form.
Theres a few meaning i pull from this song, the main one ofcourse is feeling helplessly sorry but not getting a result, he's sorry for whatever, but he can't fix it.
the other, stems from "too many people say goodbye before they say hello" which leads me to think maybe he's singing about someone who's died, and he's sorry.
