I'm not entirely sure to be honest, it seems to be about some creature perhaps taking over, or maybe its a metaphore for a feeling. all I know is its a great song
i think that "the creature" is a metaphor for depression. and it's taking over his life and draining him of all his happiness - "It looks at me 'cause it's hungry but I've run out of food" and that he needs to stop feeling like this - "it needs to be contained". sometimes he feels content but it always comes back in the end and "and fucks your brains out"
