This is me and my best friends song, and when I don't know who I am, its what I listen to, because it's just so beautiful and honest, to me, the whole song is about opening up and being dependent on/ vulnerable (but in a good way) with someone, but being a little worried about it, but finally realising that they're always going to be there for you.

I believe this is about an unexpected attraction that the singer has no rational basis for. To make a reference, think of the tension and thrill Romeo & Juliet had when they first met in spite of the anomosity between their feuding families.

yeah, i agree with youarefading, this song is about being in a relationship that is pretty serious. it is ending due to one of them breaking it off, and now he is having his regrets, he is realizing how much she meant to him

he expresses this with, "i have no fear because you are all i have." i think that this is how people in serious relationships feel, if this feeling lasts forever is unclear, but he is at a stage where he feels invulnerable because of the confidence/security that she gives him.

he wants something to hang onto, he wants another chance

i am not exactly sure what the lions are, if they are society waiting to rip apart what they did have together, or other people who want to be with the girl.

One of my favourite songs of all time because I can relate to what it's telling us. He's in a relationship and things aren't going well... it's obvious really. He wants another chance before she dumps him.

"It's so clear now" well I know that in a long term relationship, some things are taken for granted and he's saying that isn't going to happen anymore.

"under your skin feels like home electric shocks and aching bone" that's all sexual, it's gotta be.

i dunno.....i disagree. i don't think it's about a relationship with a person, as that would be obvious. i think it's about an addiction to something else, this "frightening magic" that lightbody speaks of.

this song is short and cute!I love it. My opinion is it's about a couple who broke up a while backk and he wants one more night with her and to give him a good memory to hold onto. This matter is closed, I am right:P... jk.. thats only my interpretation.

I don't think this line necessarily has to be a sexual reference. I think it's like, in this relationship, things aren't going so well, so getting under her skin is like the norm. It happens so often that it just seems like it's almost comfortable like that.

And then the second line makes me think that even though things don't always go well, she's still comforting to him. "Shock on aching bones." Makes me think like, shock therapy. Even though it might be a bit painful, it's more help than it pain.
