Hide Away Lyrics
Because you say, don't mean you mean it,
Run away to find a home,
Happy now, but you don't see it,
Run away because you're all alone.
Chorus
And you'll never know, what could have been,
And you'll never see, what might have been,
And you'll never know, what could have been,
and you'll never see, what might have been
Dead inside, you wait for something,
In a sense, lost so long ago,
No one cares, so why should you?
Run away cause you're all alone,
Chorus
Instrumental
Because you say, don't mean you mean it,
Run away to find a home,
Now I'll let you in, yeah, I'll let you in,
Yeah.
Chorus
And you'll never know
And you'll never know
Run away to find a home,
Happy now, but you don't see it,
Run away because you're all alone.
And you'll never know, what could have been,
And you'll never see, what might have been,
And you'll never know, what could have been,
and you'll never see, what might have been
In a sense, lost so long ago,
No one cares, so why should you?
Run away cause you're all alone,
Run away to find a home,
Now I'll let you in, yeah, I'll let you in,
Yeah.
And you'll never know

This is probably about a relationship.
Because you say, don't mean you mean it, Run away to find a home, Happy now, but you don't see it, Run away because you're all alone.
most likely it's a girl who said something that either ended the relationship or put it in such turmoil that she just left, and she had nowhere to go. She was happy to get the whole ordeal off her back, but she's got no place to go.
And you'll never know, what could have been, And you'll never see, where i've been, And you'll never know, what could have been, and you'll never see, where i've been
she'll never know how their relationship could have turned out, or how far it could have gotten. Obviously, she hasn't kept up with her old pal because he must have been getting a lot done since she left.
Because you say, don't mean you mean it, Run away to find a home, Now I'll let you in, yeah, I'll let you in, Yeah.
And she still feels bad about what happened, and he understands. he's willing to give her a second chance if she ever decides to come back.
I heard this song on iTunes. I really don't know what the song mean but I like it a lot. It has potential to become a commercial hit to some extent.
I heard it on iTunes, also. I wasn't sure about it at first, but now I love it. I think it'll be a great hit some day.
I've seen the video for this song since I was kinda in it, I'm not even sure if they're gonna use the video since the label hasn't bought it yet. Anyways I'm pretty sure that the song is about somebody who I guess you could say is sorta like a loner, and doesn't quite have a life so they try to almost be a part of someone elses life.
..lonely, alone, not wanting to let anyone into your life.. people have tried.. but you just want to hide away..
Heard it on The OC, loved it
its a "run away" into a crowd, get lost, "hide away", become part of something "find a home" so no one sees how alone you really are. perfect mindnumbing song with a reall meaning underneath. rare.
i thought this song would be perfect for a music vid. from the movie running with sissors. if any of you have seen the movie you'll know what i mean. if you haven't i highly reccomend it!
I think it means that someone gave up too quickly or turned on to something for support (drugs, alcohol, whatever) because giving life a chance.
By the way, RKK... amazing in concert.
*because = before
this song is beautiful. to me its always been about convincing someone not to commit suicide "and you'll never know what could've been" (if you kill yourself) and "because you say it, don't mean you mean it" (saying you're going to kill yourself) etc. I don't mean to be morbid, but thats how the song has always come across as to me
