Three or Four Lyrics
Give me a home
Where the past won't pay no mind
In case I'm bringing my own
Bring me a team of replacements
Just in case the place I'm taking's my own, own, own
Own, own, own
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Tell me I'm numb
I'll be back in just a shake
To see how my babies have grown
Circle the chairs
To protect us from the law
In case you needed my own, own, own
Own, own, own
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Oh, oh . . .
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Where the past won't pay no mind
In case I'm bringing my own
Bring me a team of replacements
Just in case the place I'm taking's my own, own, own
Own, own, own
Three or four out of us
I'll be back in just a shake
To see how my babies have grown
Circle the chairs
To protect us from the law
In case you needed my own, own, own
Own, own, own
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Oh, oh . . .
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us
Three or four out of us

first comment...yay!
i dont usually like female singers, idk why. but i really like this song. sounds like its a bout a woman whos a fugative running from the law or something. idk...anyone else?
Anyone else think it's sort of ironic that Neko and Kathryn are singing "Bring me a team of replacements, Just in case the place I'm taking's my own", considering that Kathryn is Neko's replacement at live shows? Great song anyways.
I believe this song is about going through divorce, and afterwards living a little more selfishly because you're creating a new life for yourself. The line "I'll be back in Shake to see how my babies have grown" makes me think of joint custody where one of the parents has moved far away. The line "bring me a team of replacements in case the place I'm taking's my own" sounds like someone who is dating but doesn't rule getting back into a serious relationship, making themselves feel a little cold because they've already had a family and now they're bringing a new mommy or daddy into the picture for their kids to adjust to, or possibly feel abandoned by.
