This is such an awesome song to wrap up True Parallels. It's one of my favorite Trust Company songs.
Recently went to a TrustCO show in Florida. This is by far my fave TrustCO song and my ex and I shouted Retina so loud that they took our request at the end. :)
Err, this is song meanings, not storys about bands, so:
I don't think there's any deep meaning to this song or anything. Kevin said that they fought the record label over this song a lot, but not sure if that was before or after this recording of it.
Either way, you can feel the emotion behind it. And it's one of those songs that is vague enough that it's not about any one experience.
I would describe it, however, as one person's bitter view of a past event that they are trying to move on from.
