the title is a rip off of FEAR's 1982 song, "New York's alright (if you like saxophones)"
alot of Jamaican culture is really homophobic. There was a reggae song that was a big hit there in the 90's by Buju Banton called Boom Bye Bye which is about shooting BattyBoys (fags) in the head. It was pretty funny because it became a big hit here on the NY black radio stations back then because no body understood the lyrics, until a gay jamaican protested.

I think the line "if you like small bananas and spiders" is wrong. i'm not 100% on it, but I think it should be either "if you like peeling bananas and spiders" or "if you like, kiwi, bananas, or spiders". Again, I'm not sure, but that's what I hear.
