Crayon Lyrics

Start things with another yawn
Once again it's nothing new
Gotta go out and get the time just gotta find somethin' to do.

Don't know what I should do but I just want to get away.

These lyrics are pretty difficult to decipher. After repeated listens on high volume I managed to make out these. If anyone has additional lyrics or corrections let me know in a comment.

To get to the song: the playful glockenspeil at the beginning should tell you everything you need to know. This is about childhood innocence, running around playing and just finding things to do with no plan or schedule. A very uplifting tune.

I believe it's "Once again it's nothing new", not "Once again we start the day". :)

i kinda doubt the childhood innocence theme. sure the song is upbeat and playful but the lyrics dont match the tune. i get the vibe that the speaker is living a boring life and just wants to get the fuck out. i believe that the uplifting tune represents the force driving him to get out there and find himself or whatever it is hes looking for

mtamney has it right. at the end you have things crashing and a dog barking, it sounds like a fight. dishes being thrown and lots of anger. This is not really a happy song.

this song is far greater than anyone moaning about a boring life. atleast it seems to me so. it's like.. you can draw your life anew every day with your favourite crayon. the colors just tend fade away but there's still beauty in it.
