The Lawrence Arms website said this was about getting a haircut. I'm not sure if I fully believe them...
a lot of those lyrics are wrong.

LOL a hair cut eh hmmm maybe it's a metaphore for uhh and emo kid changing his way's so the hair cut part is about how he/she finally cut's their hair and yeah then the rest. I say this because the chrous where he say's "cut it up untill the pain goes away" I could be completly wrong tho I don't know that's just my thought's.
It's obviously about cocaine use. Cuting is a term asscioated with preparing cocaine for use.
