He knows all about the movements of the planets
But he don't know how to move me
He knows about the sonic spectrum damnit
But he don't know if it's groovy

He knows about
A-B-C-1-2-3-X-Y-Z
But he don't know about X-T-C
A-B-C-1-2-D-Even I
Ain't in any of his categories

Kind of tall and kind of shy
He's always asking me why
He's always got his head in a book
He doesn't care how I look

He cares about
A-B-C-1-2-3-X-Y-Z
But he don't know about X-T-C
A-B-C-1-2-D-Even I
Ain't in any of his categories

He's the kind of guy
who knows just what he knows
He's the kind of guy
who oh-oh-oo-oh-oh-oh

A-B-C-1-2-3-X-Y-Z
But he don't know about X-T-C
A-B-C-1-2-D-Even I
Ain't in any of his categories
A-B-C-1-2-3-X-Y-Z
But he don't know about X-T-C
A-B-C-1-2-D-Even I
Ain't in any of his categories

    My interpretation:

They're singing about a guy that's after them but they don't think that they would be a good match. They use a clever play on words, letters, er numbers as they say XTC which is a nickname for ecstacy so what they're saying is that he's studious and knows all about his literature (ABC) and math (123) but not about how to have a good time (XTC/drugs). Not that I'm promoting drugs, lol!! Then again I'm not sure whether they're thinking he might be a good influence on them..? Basically, I think they are pondering over the guy in the song.

No, no, no, you've got it all wrong! It's not about drugs or the band. It's basically just about a girl who knows a guy who knows everything but he doesn't know how to please her! When they say he doesn't know about X-T-C, he's saying that he doesn't know how to make her happy, give her ecstacy, you know? It's simple pimple.

"He knows about the sonic spectrum, dammit!" Best line ever.

Actually, I think the infatuation is from (one of) them toward the guy. Hence the line, "He doesn't care how I look." Plus mentioning how he's kind of tall and kind of shy. Sort of the "I think he's soooo cute, but he doesn't notice me, even in my awesome polka dot dress."

It's the girl trying to get his attention away from the books and onto her, which would send her into a fit of (non-drug related) ecstasy

i think it's just about a guy and a girl in a relationship and the guy is super nerdy and doesn't know much about relationships and fun. that's how i see it.

wait. it's a girl's infatuation, no relationship b/c she says "ain't in any of his categories" which means he doesn't really study her.

Yeah, I agree with Bobby Rifle. It's this girl who's really into a guy, but he's a smarty-pants bookworm type, so he never really notices her because "she ain't in any of his categories."

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
