Daylight Robbery

It could indeed literally be about a daylight robbery (The "CCTV" part especially points to this), and she's just describing the rush she gets when she's in the middle of it.

i saw her live with kid beyond and levi weaver and it was an encore, so they all left the stage and suddenly came back with sunglasses, and it sounded amazing because it had the guy from frou frou on bass, a beat boxer for a percussion sound and levi weaver on guitar. it was amazing.

i think its about just pure excitement. the first verse seems like an actual daylight robbery but the second verse just sounds like fun in general.

Oh, actually I think I remember in an interview that the song was basically her feelings while she was night bicycle riding in London.

I always interpreted this as just the ecstasy of doing something stupid and getting an adrenaline rush off of it, and it reminds me of Times Square at night with so much going on that it completely floors you.

she always succumbs to the temptation (of him), her positive thinking gets her everytime. OR... on second thought... maybe its about the lime light... and being a celebrity. "winking diamonds" could be a metaphor for flash photograph. "arms stretched out" people who want her, like in a concert. The whole 4th paragraph seems to be about the idea of clubbing, partying, celebrating, and going out. but... yet the line "it gets me everytime" seems to make me still thnk shes dissapointed in herself for falling for it....

wheni went to her concert this song was like one of the defining moments...like...it was an outdoor concert and the weather was kind of bad and the wind was blowing really hair ((which i love btw)) everywhere and the part where she like yells...idk...it was amazing...

I can see it being about going out and just enjoying herself but that's probably just me.

an amazing theatre company called "frantic assembly" used a lot of imogen's music for a production called "pool (no water)" & in it this song was used for a physical sequence where the cast were on a high from taking numerous drugs in order to escape from the pain/reality of a situation they were in... it definitely fitted the song well. xXx

unlike a lot of her other songs i think this song is just about enjoying herself and not worrying about relationships and enjoying her own music and kind of about performing and being famous "caught on CCTV" thats just the way it somes across to me one of my favorites she is amazing and has the most amazing range ever!

when i first heard this song i thought it sounded like linkin park only with better vocals. but it's starting to grow on me. iloveimogen.
