Orinoco Flow Lyrics
Let me sail, let me sail
Let the Orinoco Flow
Let me reach, let me beach
On the shores of Tripoli
Let me sail, let me sail
Let me crash upon your shore
Let me reach, let me beach
Far beyond the Yellow Sea
De, de
De, de
De, de
De, de
De, de
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
From Bissau to Palau
In the shade of Avalon
From Fiji to Tiree
And the Isles of Ebony
From Peru to Cebu
Feel the power of Babylon
From Bali to Cali
Far beneath the Coral Sea
De, de
De, de
De, de
De, de
De, de
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
From the North to the South
Ebudæ unto Khartoum
From the deep sea of clouds
To the island of the moon
Carry me on the waves to the land I've never been
Carry me on the waves to the lands I've never seen
We can sail, we can sail
With the Orinoco Flow
We can sail, we can sail (sail away, sail away)
We can steer, we can near
With Rob Dickins at the wheel
We can sigh, say goodbye
Ross and its dependency
We can sail, we can sail (sail away, sail away, sail away)
We can reach, we can beach
On the shores of Tripoli,
We can sail, we can sail (sail away, sail away, sail away)
From Bali to Cali
Far beneath the Coral Sea
We can sail, we can sail (sail away, sail away, sail away)
We can sail, we can sail (sail away, sail away, sail away)
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Let the Orinoco Flow
Let me reach, let me beach

Love this song, very cheerful
This song means something to me in that I love to travel. I love the Enya version and the Celtic Woman version. I was a sailor during Viet Nam Era (no regrets). I am a veteran cruiser and find all forms of music and art relaxing. I enjoy going to foreign lands and embrace the cultural differences of the planet we all inhabit. If there are those who think this music is boring and mundane then go listen to something else.
So relaxing, just think and relax, thinking makes you better.http://www.celticwomanconcerts.com/c/celtic-woman-discography/celtic-woman-destiny/
The lyrics echo the undulating flow of the river Orinoco which it describes. To me the idea of flowing with the river & getting to places mentioned is a . metaphor for getting ahead in life & achieving ones objectives. Couldn't quite get the (historical) allusions Ross& his dependencies Rob Dickins at the wheel. Would appreciate anyone who's qualified to elucidate the same
