Virtue To Vice

I think that the terrible thing is what man is capable of ("it's what I keep inside, this is the crime that I've tried to hide").

We humans are able to corrupt anything, to "turn virtue to vice", through our deceitful nature. We lie and manipulate for personal gain. (Hear all my secrets, tell all the lies).

So the great secret would then be that religion is just our way to justify actions, while in truth it is we who are wholly responsible for committing sins etc.

I think this song is about..well..when you look into yourself - deep inside, you can only see your sins, nothing positive - and in the end it will turn virtue to vice.

I think this is quite hard to understand. It's about someone who knows a terrible secret and that things are not the least what they appear to be. But we're not told what it is. Maybe that's it: There are many things in the world that we have no clue of, that they exist and some of these are horrible things.

I agree with you, to a certain extent. I think its "tell all the fucking lies" anyway,minor mistake. Its something that maybe... You tell someone,and someone hears it,and doesn't believe it all. A high level of shock until,possibly,he/she changes completely?

Or of course,some secrets of this world are horrible,but we've yet to know about them. It would question our deepest beliefs. Well,yeah.

It sounds like Whip has a secret he desperately wants to share but he cant because it will just screw up everything or turn people against him.
