I think this is about a guy who had his heart broken and is afraid to love again but he's falling in love anyway...
I think it's about this guy trying to bed a woman or a girl. He is telling her nonsense in order to persuade her into letting him do it. How about that?
about somebody who's low in confidence because of past rejections, he wants to ask somebody out but he's not sure, not even sure she cares enough, so in his indecision he keeps asking himself and I don't think he finds it in himself to finally tell her.
