Okay. Basically, this song is about someone who is broken hearted of some sort. They just ended a relationship with someone, having found out they were nothing like they thought they were. The person singing this expresses how they thought that one person was everything, when in reality they were nothing at all like they thought-something totally different. The song expresses how they believed them to be 'fairtytale, a dream when they're not sleeping, a wish upon a star that's coming true'-but they weren't.

I think this song is about someone who believes that they have been strung along in the relationship and are heartbroken. It's a beautiful song. I wish I had enough money to buy her cd.
First off, when I heard of High School Musical, I thought, "Oh pfft. Another cheesy Disney Straight-to-TV movie," and when I actually watched it (I watched it fairly recently) and I was shocked. I loved how everything was put together, and how it was like a real musical and not just everything in song-formation.

oh. this song reminds me of my story. i guess it's about seeing someone doing mistakes with boys, and u think this will never happen to you, but then you feel like you're doing the same mistakes.
it's also probably about loving someone, but then finding out that you are left all alone and you 'confuse your feelings with the truth'. you're still trying to think that's not your or his fault, but you can do nothing about it. you think that you both have something, like, to be together happy ever after, but it's not. definetely my situation. sad song, but i still adore it.
