Ridin' Lyrics
"Honestly I hate this song because its about the average african amerian who believes that the cops are racist against blacks to find an excuse for being guilty of carrying drugs, stolen objects, etc. Its not the cops fault that you broke the law. "
and the guy who wrote that is an idiot.
I am very dissapointed with these lyrics. I have loved this song for a long time-great beat, good voice, and I thought, good lyrics. I thought the guys were rapping about being innocent and wrongly picked on by police. But no, they are guilty and deserve to be caught by the cops with all their childish low life drugging ways. I misinterpreted the song, but now that I've read the lyrics, I see that they are stupid and giving blacks more bad representation for being part of the black market and a good reason to get picked on by the cops. What a dissapointment. Accomplish some good things for once, rappers.
chamillionaire is demonstrably riding clean while krayzie bone is not.
i agree that the message would have been more powerful had the song not included bone's verse, which i think detracts from what cha is trying to say about hpd's corruption. it sends a mixed message in that while cha is unfairly treated by law enforcement, bone doesn't really have an excuse in the context of lawful behavior vs. corrupt police racially profiling. in fact, the entire chorus seems to counter what bone is saying; the police are profiling in the attempt to pin drug charges on a young black male (trying to catch him "riding dirty") without success, while if krayzie were pulled over he would surely be justifiably (by american law standards) arrested.
to those who assert that chamillionaire was, in fact, ridin' dirty: "Ride clean as hell, so I pull in ladies/Laws on patrol and you know they hate me" "Cause they think they know/that they catchin me with plenty of the drank and dro' (No)" "When they realize I ain't even ridin dirty/Bet you'll be leavin with an even madder mood" "You can't arrest me"
in conclusion, cha was not ridin' dirty. krayzie bone was.
this is about driving around with drugs... basically its a black guy trying to sound cool
i like this song, even though i'm not into rap. itz catchy, i especially like the lines..
Now ridin with a new chick, she like "Hold up" Next to the Playstation controlla
haha i thought that was funny
In this song, Krayzie Bone represents the portion of young African Americans that are rowdy rebels, while Chamillionaire is representing the side of African Americans that are not trouble makers but just want to keep enjoy themselves and stay safe from others. But consistently get harassed, because as you all know not all cops are good cops. :)
it's funny when you're a white boy blasting this song when idling at a red light and everyone stares at you. it's an awesome song, and it's my "red light song" and it'll always be
yeah something about this song it makes you think iss just a joke.
This is my Corinne song :)
does anyone notice how awesome the song gets when krayzie begins rapping but with melody? The whole song changes from the typical talk-rap to melodic rap that sounds so much better than normal rap.
