These Walls Lyrics

I can't believe what is in front of me
The waters rising up to my knees
And I can't figure out
How the hell I wound up here
Everything seemed ok
When I started out the other day
Then the rain came pouring down
And now I'm drowning in my fears
As I watch the setting sun
I wonder if I'm the only one

Cuz everybody tries to put some love on the line
And everybody feels a broken heart sometimes
And even when I'm scared I have to try to fly
Sometimes I fall but I've seen it done before
I gotta step outside these walls

I've got no master plan to
Help me out or make me stand up
For all of the things that I really want
You had me too afraid to ask
And as I look ahead of me
I try and pray for sanity

Cuz everybody tries to put some love on the line
And everybody feels a broken heart sometimes
And even when I'm scared I have to try to fly
Sometimes I fall but I've seen it done before
Gotta step outside these walls

These walls can't be my haven
These walls can't keep me safe here
Now I guess I've got to let them down

Cuz everybody tries to put some love on the line
And everybody feels a broken heart sometimes
And even when I'm scared I have to try to fly
Sometimes I fall but I've seen it done before
Gotta step outside these walls

I gotta break out
I gotta break out
I've to step out side these walls
Outside these walls
Well it's a brand new day
And I'll be going down
Cuz I'll be steppin out
I'll be steppin outside these walls
Yeah I've seen it done before
I'm walking on
Yeah I'm moving on
Yeah
Give me something
Steppin outside these walls

This song is about steping outside the walls, your your room or safe place, and putting yourself out there. It's a risk, and he might fall, people have succeed, so he has to try.

He sounds a lot like Gavin DeGraw in this song.. but that just might be me.

He does sound a whole lot like Gavin, who is also an amazing singer. But that's beside the point. I love this song because it just makes me feel hopeful. It makes me feel like there's someone out there for me, I just have to find them. You know the feeling?

It's about walls that people put up in a realtionship and if you don't let them down they will keep you from further getting to know this person. And that you shouldn't be afraid to put yourself out there and open up because, "Everybody feels a broken heart sometimes". I love the feel of this song it is amazing

I agree with him sounding like Gavin DeGraw. I didn't really like For You I Will (Confidence) but as soon as I heard this song I really enjoyed it, and was surprised to find out it was Teddy Geiger.
