Requiem for an undying love Lyrics
Down
On love
I’m so tired
I’ve had enough
I always thought
That it would get better
Maimed
And numb
I have bled
Too long to feel
I’ve died for this dream
I can’t stop living
I wanted to be your crush
I wanted to be someone
I wanted to win your heart
Framed you in memory
And hung you throughout countless dreams
Till the nightmare woke me up
With news that, it’s over
The seas, so mad
Angered beast
Rages to drown my soul
I fight to steer
My troubled ship to safety
The wind, it weeps
Oh how it moans
With deadly blows
The thief
Jealous with envy
Competes for the killing
I thought I could to be your crush
I thought I could be someone
I thought I could win your heart
Nothing to take with me
Not even the memory
Just the thought of what was gone
And the crushed hope in what never was
I saw you there
Windblown dress, calling out
I reached
As air
Stole your shape
Illusions kill
What is real, what is sane
Feeding hope
To the dying
I thought I could to be your crush
I thought I could be someone
I thought I could win your heart
Filmed you in memory
And showed you on every screen
In a story about love
Caught in the re-run of regret
On love
I’m so tired
I’ve had enough
I always thought
That it would get better
Maimed
And numb
I have bled
Too long to feel
I’ve died for this dream
I can’t stop living
I wanted to be your crush

I just wanted to be the first one to say that this song absolutely rocks!!! The melody, the acoustic incorporated within this song all works together perfectly. Really good song, this band needs to go far!
hells yeah. this song dominates. i accidentally stumbled upon this band when i was searching for angels and airwaves on morpheus haha. but im glad i found them.
yes i agree completely. this song is amazing, and of course my computer tricked me. i was downloading some angels and airwaves, and this was labeled as angels and airwaves it hurts....but ti definitely wasn't. now i know. i researched the lyrics and got here. i love finding random songs and them turning out to be so amazing. thanx for posting these lyrics...otherwise i may never know.
I like this song a lot too!
What is with the gigantic misunderstanding of EVERYONE on the Internet that almost all Drowning Fish songs are AVA songs? Someone needs to set everyone straight.

Back in the day, Limewire contained various songs of "AVA" that were actually Drowning Fish songs.
