Miranda, That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore: B. Pour Another Icepick Lyrics
I think Ive become one of the others.
I think Ive become one of the others.
I think Ive become one of the others.
There was a frail syrup dripping off his lap danced lapel.
Punctuated by her becrepit prowl she, washed down the hatching gizzard.
Soft as a mane of needles, his orifice icicles hemorrhaged by combing her torso to a pile.
Perspired, the trophy shelves made room for his collapse, she was a mink handjob in sarcophagus heels.
Bring me to my knees, tead the sharpened lines.
All my arms, bled me blind.
Faucet leaks in shadows, spilling from, morgue lancet caressed your fontanelle.
Ive sworn to kill, every last one, every last one.
Panic in the shakes of the wounded, Panic in the worms.
Onto the floor And out of your mouth and Out of your eyelids.
No theres no light, in the darkest of your furthest reaches.
No theres no light, in the darkest of your furthest reaches.
All your dreams, splintered off.
Leech by leech, on this catafalque.
Anyone will tell you, yes anyone.
Chance had me setting the trip wire alarm.
Your mother flirted, with disease, when she skinned that costume by its navel strings.
Panic in the shakes of the wounded, panic in the worms, onto the floor, and out of your mouth out of your eyelids.
No theres no light, in the darkest of your furthest reaches
No theres no light, in the darkest of your furthest reaches
No theres no light, in the darkest of your furthest reaches
No theres no light, in the darkest of your furthest reaches.
Shock lest shackles free you, Volt face cons.
Abandon you again, I wont feel, not this time.

this isn't "miranda, that ghost just isn't holy anymore". this is the beginning of "cassandra gemini"
I know it's a story. (most of their songs are) From what I can make out of it, it sounds like a woman who got pregnant w/ a stranger's baby, and her husband/boyfriend thinks it's his. She gets an abortion, her husband/boyfriend kills himself because of it w/ added stress from [college/school]?
then her mom died?...now her life is ruined and she's alone and the artist doesn't care. Dunno...that's what i got.
i love the mars volta. Good band.
"There was a frail syrup dripping off..." This sounds like a little tip o' the hat to Tom Waits. Does anyone else hear that, or is it just me?
This album is fantastic!
this is the greatest shit ive ever heard. fun to play on drums.
I think it was actually a frail SYRUM, and her prowl was DECREPIT.
In any case, this song is gorgeous, like most of their other stuff. The first narrative feels really film noir.
I fuckin' love this song. The Mars Volta is one of the most amazing bands I've ever heard. I never really liked this song before, but now listening to it again, it's my favorite part of "Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore."
this is actually about a diary entry that one of the members of the band found when he was a repo man...he found the diary in a car and it was written by someone who was adopted right after being born and her trying to find her real parents...but what happened was that her mother was a prostitute and the father didnt know...and she got pregnant and got aids (hence the part about her mother being sick)
no, this is def "miranda, that ghost just isn't holy anymore." it's part 2, titled part B: pour another icepick. amazing song from a brilliant album from a genius group of musicians
Err. No it's not. LiveShiver is right.

Due to disputes with Universal Records, "Cassandra Gemini" was arbitrarily split into eight tracks on the CD version, taking up tracks 5 through 12, since the band would otherwise only be paid an EP's wages for a 5 track album. The song was not split along its five movements lines, although the entirety of "Sarcophagi" is within the 12th track.
